Biosensor means the chemical sensor available for the molecular recognition system of the the organism. It can be detected by converting into electrical signals to substrate-specific variations due to enzyme reaction, antigen-antibody reaction, ion channel, and so on. Since glucose sensor was developed in 1967 that is supported glucose oxidase by gel on the electrode, various biosensor has been developed.
There are three points to manufacture the biosensor: 1) select the "receptor" to immobilize on the substrate, 2) choose the "immobilization method" for that, 3) select the "detecting method" that will capture the variation due to the interaction of the receptor.
Dojindo offers SAM reagents, cross-linker reagents, activation reagents, and biotinylation reagents available for the "Immobilization method", and these reagents have been used for developing biosensors.
